前情提要：
奧德修斯一行人誤闖了女巫喀耳刻的小島，
在得知船員被喀耳刻用魔法變成豬後，
奧德修斯打算前往喀耳刻的宮殿拯救船員，
即使他其實(shí)沒甚麼把握能打敗法力高強(qiáng)的喀耳刻......
就在此時(shí)，擅長(zhǎng)通風(fēng)報(bào)信的救星閃亮登場(chǎng)了(？)

騷包的樂子人阿祖帶著酷酷的草來支援曾孫了。
奧德修斯的外祖父奧托呂庫斯是赫米斯的兒子，
再加上當(dāng)初在特洛伊戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)中，赫米斯也站在希臘聯(lián)軍一方，
因此不難想像赫米斯會(huì)對(duì)奧德修斯親切的伸出援手。
在歌曲一開始赫米斯所稱讚的「不錯(cuò)的演講」，
指的是在上一首曲子〈Puppeteer〉裡，
面對(duì)歐律洛科斯再三勸說奧德修斯逃跑時(shí)，
奧德修斯堅(jiān)持自己不會(huì)拋下船員的言論。
在奧德修斯告訴歐律洛科斯自己願(yuàn)意為他上刀山下火海的時(shí)候，
背景伴奏的樂器從代表奧德修斯的吉他換成赫米斯的七弦琴，
代表其實(shí)赫米斯當(dāng)時(shí)就躲在旁邊偷聽他們的對(duì)話。
在最初期的草稿中，赫米斯只有在〈Puppeteer〉裡面短暫現(xiàn)身，
把酷酷神草丟給孫仔就颯爽退場(chǎng)，是個(gè)妥妥的NPC工具人。
直到寫到第二幕的時(shí)候，Jorge發(fā)現(xiàn)劇情需要更多赫米斯的戲份，
於是寫下了〈Dangerous〉之後，才回到第一幕生出這首〈Wouldn't You Like〉。
在〈Dangerous〉之前，Jorge嘗試過讓赫米斯走類似爵士樂的風(fēng)格，
這個(gè)靈感參考自另一部同樣取材於希臘神話的音樂劇《Hadestown》，
當(dāng)時(shí)Jorge試圖創(chuàng)造一個(gè)年輕版本的《Hadestown》赫米斯，
但最後他決定自己從頭創(chuàng)造專屬於EPIC的赫米斯。
