The setting sun penetrated through the veil of clouds and mist. The water waves on the lake reflected the dazzling light. The vegetation near the lake suffered the blood-red baptism, having the smell of life ending. The girl leaned against the dead tree. Her angelic face was dreaming peacefully.
White and transparent smoke formed a circular halo in the dark, sucking her into it. Her soul seemed to have come to a familiar room. Darkness was raiding, leaving all the weak light on the broken rabbit doll. She was still smiling, but one of her eyes had fallen off. There were also traces of being stepped on on her body, seeming to commemorate the remaining light.
Pushing open the door in front of her, was the endless night. The sea of blood seemed to have no end. Her toes tapped the slightly sticky water. The air was filled with the smell of rust, seeming to bring back distant and vague memories.
Two bloody ghosts appeared in the dark night. Her parents cast resentful eyes at her, questioning her ruthless killings. Their crazy look contrasted sharply with her expressionless face, and she merely waved them away with almost contempt, swimming towards the other end of the sea.
There was only an exquisite white pavilion on the shore. Many bloody vines were hanging from the arched roof. There was a pot of tea full of fishy smell on the table. Desserts made of human flesh looked less disgusting because of their shape. A smile appeared on the girl’s face, seeming satisfied with this short break.
An ancient crown was placed on a stone slab eroded by the sea breeze. Its gold patterns and rubies were covered with thick dust. On the platform was a statue of intertwined spears. The queen’s body on them was still in decay. The spears stabbed her body like a hedgehog, like a sacrifice to the gods. The queen’s eyes were still not closed, cursing the girl’s future.
On the other side of the island was a staircase leading to the sky. White represented hope, and the girl’s crisp laughter echoed in the increasingly clear sky. The girl stepped up the stairs. The rain of flowers around her accompanied her. Ah, she also once had these delusions.
The laughter gradually became sad. Familiar despair surrounded her. The pink flower rain turned into blood drops, falling on her delicate face. She opened her mouth and sang. Angel’s voice and screams intertwined into eerie music.
There was nothing at the end of the stairs, not heaven, nor hell, only silence and emptiness. The blue in front and the black below formed a strong contrast, but there was no violation. She lifted her foot lightly, jumping down. There was no salvation in the world.
The girl opened her eyes with a calm breath. The night sky in reality still had the normal moon and stars. She scooped up the lake water with her hands, cleaning the blood stains on her clothes, and then left.
