主旨：

事件の発端は3月16日にFUKO及び通勤者之歌が抗議として大型バイクで高速公路（日本の高速自動車國道に相當する道路）に乗り入れたことです。臺灣の法律（道路交通管理処罰條例、日本の道路交通法に相當）は交通部（日本の國土交通省に相當）に対し、政令で高速公路の開放ルート及び開放時間を指定し、550cc以上の大型自動二輪が通行できるよう定めることができます。この法律は2011年に立法院（臺灣の國會）で通過されたものの、未だに高速公路は開放されていません（國道3甲を除く。ただし、國道3甲は今は高速公路ではありません）。さらに、この2人はこの件で5月2日に公務執行妨害、秩序妨害、往來妨害などの罪で逮捕されました。この日本語の翻訳及び説明は、臺灣で起きた事件を日本の皆さんに説明するとともに、國際社會に抗議するためのものです。世界でわずか10か國未満だけがバイクで高速道路を走行することを禁止しており、臺灣もその一つです。

The incident began on March 16 when FUKO and Poem of Biker rode their motorcycles, with engine displacements over 550cc, onto National Freeway No. 10 as a form of protest. Taiwanese law grants the Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC, R.O.C.) the authority to designate specific routes and times for freeways to be opened to motorcycles with engine displacements over 550cc by decree. Although this law was passed by the Legislative Yuan (Taiwan's parliament) in 2011, the freeways have yet to be opened (with the exception of National Freeway No. 3A, which is no longer considered a freeway but an expressway). Furthermore, the two individuals were arrested on May 2 for obstructing official duties, disturbing public order, and obstructing traffic in relation to this incident. This translation and explanation aim to inform the global community about the incident in Taiwan and to protest on an international stage. Only very few countries worldwide prohibit motorcycles from using freeways, and one of them is Taiwan.
