A blinding light enveloped Hiro and Zero Two. Their consciousness seemed to be pulled away, as if they were passing through the rift of time itself. Then, clarity returned.
When they opened their eyes, a familiar ceiling came into view. The air around them was calm and reassuring. They were lying in their own bed at home. It all felt like a dream, yet the warmth and presence of each other were undeniably real.
"Darling..." Zero Two murmured softly, her voice carrying both uncertainty and a familiar tenderness. Her pink hair shimmered faintly in the morning light.
Hiro turned his head, gazing at her familiar face, an indescribable emotion swelling in his heart. "Zero Two... we're back?"
Zero Two reached out, gently touching Hiro’s cheek, feeling his warmth. She nodded, a small, relieved smile forming on her lips. "Yes, we’re back."
They silently looked into each other’s eyes. In this moment, it felt as if they had transcended time, beyond all the battles and separations they had endured. The world around them might have changed, but they were still together.
"Can we really stay together?" Zero Two asked softly, a complex emotion flickering in her gaze.
Hiro’s eyes grew resolute. Without hesitation, he replied, "I believe that no matter how the world changes, we will always find our way back to each other."
Zero Two was momentarily stunned, then a smile blossomed on her lips. It was not just a promise but the deepest truth of their hearts.
Hiro linked his pinky finger with hers, their voices soft but certain: "It's a promise."

Suddenly, Hiro sat up, rubbing his forehead before turning to Zero Two. "Alright, hurry up and get dressed. We have to go to school today."
Zero Two blinked, still caught in the emotional aftermath of their exchange. "School?" She tilted her head, looking at Hiro in confusion.
Hiro chuckled, his tone light yet filled with nostalgia. "Yeah, this is our daily life now."
Zero Two blinked again, then smiled knowingly. She got up, walked to the closet, and pulled out her uniform. "Today is another new day, right, Darling?"
Hiro watched her, warmth filling his heart. "Yeah, another new day."
They changed into their uniforms, packed their bags, and prepared for the day ahead. Though they had once faced countless battles and separations, at this moment, they embraced the simple yet irreplaceable happiness of everyday life.
The sunlight remained warm as they stepped out the door, hand in hand, smiling at each other. Their hearts were set—no matter how the world changed, no matter what challenges came their way, they would always be together, protecting each other.
